The Retreatant

For close to two decades now, occasional retreats into nature has become my worthy ritual, whether in a personal or group setting.
To retreat is a Latin verb connoting “to pull back.” So, l retreat to pull back from the world for a period of time for rest, reflection, restoration, rejuvenation and refocus.

Organized retreats with fellow women is particularly important to me because women have a deeply peculiar way of holding space for each other in deep, compassionate, empathetic, authentic and other supportive ways.

My Retreat and Reflection Guide titled Woman Reborn provides a framework for taking time out on a retreat individually or collectively. I use it to guide two group retreats every year-in May and November at www.pecnaturecamp.com

The 5Day 5R retreat guide covers reflections aimed at holistic personal rejuvenation and wellness :

RENEW YOUR MIND

RECREATE YOUR HEART

REFRESH YOUR BODY

RECHARGE YOUR SPIRIT

RESTORE YOUR SOUL

There is additionally, a self - care menu from which retreatants choose life- enhancing activities such as prayer, meditation, transformational breathing, reflexology, massage, journaling, intentional stretching, hiking, mindfulness exercises etc
